BID Businesses win awards for recycling

BID businesses have been receiving Gold and Silver certificates this week for doing their bit for the planet thanks to the BID recycling scheme.
In the last year In West Ealing BID businesses recycled almost 250 tonnes of waste; the equivalent of two blue whales! Together with 20,000 other First Mile customers across the UK, have helped to recycle almost 60,000 tonnes of waste; that’s equivalent to the weight of nearly five Shards!
Lebanese restaurant Ya Sham posted proudly about their achievements on Facebook to receive great feedback from local residents. Likewise, Blake’f Florist on the Avenue posted:
“We’ve won a silver award for our recycling efforts! It’s official…. Blake’s is greener than green, with a touch of silver!
