The BID has arranged a free Easter Trail for families around West Ealing to encourage footfall and connect with local businesses.
The trail started on Saturday 24th March and is open for two weeks until 7th April. During that time, participants can collect their map from Wilko and follow the trail to find 12 Easter Eggs hidden in shop windows along Uxbridge Road. Each egg has a different image which are to be drawn onto the map. If all images are completed then children can claim a free prize, kindly supported by Wilko.
Whilst a great feel-good activity for our Town Centre, the Easter Trail also benefits businesses by engaging the local community and bringing them onto the high street and encouraging them to look at the retail and hospitality offer in the area.
In addition, over Easter weekend the BID will be hosting Easter arts and crafts for children on Melbourne Avenue as well as an Easter twitter competition to promote West Ealing. We have a special grass-covered sofa for families to use for a photo opportunity and the tweet their pictures with the hashtag #EasterInWestEaling. Specasavers have kindly donated a fabulous Chocolate Egg and a winner will be chosen from Twitter. These activities will bring additional footfall to the area, offer an opportunity for promotion and drive some social media coverage.
Please do let us know if you have Easter offers that we can help to promote. Why not tweet your Easter displays or offers with the hashtag #EasterInWestEaling too so we can further promote the area.
Businesses displaying trail eggs this year are: Wilko, West Ealing Library, Fujifilm, Alice’s Attic, I&H Stores, Cudi Food Centre, Keena Rakkado, Ya Sham, Galicja Restaurant, Chianti, Mind Body and Spirit and Mobalpa Kitchens.
Many thanks to all of our high street businesses who are helping to promote the trail and other activities. We would love your feedback and your ideas for future events that encourage footfall.
